HelpVeteran.org was founded after veteran Paul Wersant experienced firsthand the challenges many veterans face when attempting to access benefits and support programs.
Like many veterans, Paul discovered that while resources exist, navigating the system can be difficult and time-consuming. Veterans are often required to search through multiple organizations, agencies, and programs before finding the help they need.
Recognizing this challenge, Paul partnered with Diane Vo, J.D., to create a solution.
Together they envisioned a platform that would simplify access to veteran support services and connect veterans with trusted organizations, advocates, and resources nationwide.
To strengthen the organization’s mission, Melly Lopez joined the leadership team, bringing more than twenty years of experience helping veterans and military families through nonprofit organizations.
From this shared commitment to service, HelpVeteran.org was created.
Our mission is to help veterans identify and access the benefits, programs, services, and opportunities available to them through government agencies, nonprofit organizations, community programs, and professional support networks.
We are dedicated to reducing barriers, simplifying access to resources, and helping veterans receive the support they have earned through their service.
We envision a future where every veteran can easily find the information, assistance, and support they need to thrive.
By building a centralized resource hub and connecting veterans with trusted organizations, we aim to create a stronger support network for veterans and their families nationwide.
We encourage volunteers, advocates, professionals, and community organizations to participate in supporting veterans and helping expand access to services.
